Graffity Art Project

In collaboration with international street artists & photographers, we painted the walls of Bagong Silang Cemetery with the local community to honour the lives of community members who’ve left us, yet left behind an impactful legacy.

Manila Art Project is a Graffity art project in collaboration with the streetartists Daniel „Daschu“ Schuster, Florian Kaiser and the photographer Benno Heller from Germany. In a two weeks schedule we painted huge faces of citizens of a slum called Bagong Silang (Navotas) onto the walls in that area.

Bagong Silang is a cementary where people lived for more then 20 years between the death. 2016 the government decided to demolish their houses and to relocate them. As rememberence and respect for the people who transfered this crazy place into their home for so many years, we decided to paint some selected faces of the citizens in huge size on the walls as kind of memorial to honor their life, strength and power.
